Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) is the maker of the MX-5 Miata &#8211; the best-selling convertible sports car in the planet, and the only optional power-retractable hard top that consumes no trunk space. <p>•	Wearing sunglasses will help prevent too much of the sun’s heat from entering your eyes. Always wear them also to protect your eyes from airborne debris. </p>

<p>•	When driving with top down or low windows, avoid leaving loose sheets of papers, pieces of light clothing, or plastics. These things will surely be driven by the wind. In effect, you are adding to the deterioration of the ecosystem. </p>

<p>•	If you want to leave the roof down, do not park near trees to pave way for the birds’ resting area. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>•	Before opening or closing the top, pull over and have a complete stop. Aside from an unsafe distraction, the parts that control the top may be damaged by the wind. </p>

<p>•	To avoid dryness or dehydration, drinking plenty of water is recommended. A moisturizer and a lip balm can also be a remedy.</p>

<p>•	 And above all, always ensure safety regardless of the length of the trip. </p>

<p>Jim O’Sullivan, President and CEO of MNAO, said that the MX-5 Miata is the most sold convertible sports car all over the world with over 800,000 units sold. And according to him only Mazda has the authority “to speak on behalf of top-down, wind-in-your-hair, and sun-on-your’s-face driving fun”. Summer road trips will be seen any time from now. With this, O’Sullivan said everyone must keep those road tips in mind. </p>

<p>With top of the line <a rel="nofollow" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/article_exit_link');" href="http://www.automotivemazparts.com/mazda-engine/">Mazda engine</a>, MX-5 Miata pricing starts at $20,435 (MSRP). This convertible has up to 30 mpg on the highway and an open-top motor with minimal wind turbulence in the cabin. </p>

<p>An aero-board wind deflator is found between the seat backs. This guides forward flowing air to go upward. This deflator was invented by Mazda on the 1987 RX-7 Convertible but is now common on modern convertibles. </p>

<p>Aside form the MX-5 Miata convertible, Mazda builds other vehicles that offer optional sunroofs. These vehicles are the RX-8 sports car, MAZDA3, MAZDA5, MAZDA6, CX-7, CX-9 and the Tribute.</p>

<p>O’Sullivan added that driving a Mazda means a wonderful trip. </p>

Risk reversals are promises, including warranties, &#8220;money-back guarantees&#8221; and &#8220;performance guarantees&#8221; that stipulate what customers can do if a product or service is defective or unsatisfying, doesn&#8217;t live up to its advertised claims, or misses scheduled delivery milestones.</p>
<p>Risk reversals place a self-imposed burden on the seller to assume some or all of the responsibility for something going wrong. For that reason, they are among the most powerful of selling techniques. If risk reversals do their jobs correctly, they will make it nearly impossible for a consumer to resist giving the product or service a try. The more outrageous the reversals are, the more they entice people to buy!</p>
<p>This article describes the power of strong risk reversals, and suggests a way to protect yourself from the small percentage of people who might be tempted to submit bogus claims.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-</p>
<p>Consider at Least Three Levels of Risk Reversal</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-</p>
<p>1) Standard</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve all heard typical guarantees such as: &#8220;If you&#8217;re not 100% satisfied with this wrinkle cream, simply return the empty jar within 30 days for a full refund &#8212; no questions asked.&#8221; This approach helps customers basically break even; they&#8217;ll have little to lose by trying the item, except perhaps their time.</p>
<p>2) Stronger</p>
<p>A higher level of risk reversal enables customers to actually come out ahead in the worst-case scenario: &#8220;If this product fails to teach your dog to sing in 60 days or less, we&#8217;ll not only refund your original purchase price, but we&#8217;ll also give you an extra $25 for your time AND send you the complete CD of &#8217;500 Doggie Tunes&#8217; as our thank-you gift for trying the program.&#8221;</p>
<p>3) Extreme</p>
<p>An extreme level of risk reversal raises the bar even further to help customers prosper, regardless of the circumstances. The Korean automaker Hyundai recently demonstrated this during the height of the current economic slowdown. Automakers around the world were seeing substantial, double-digit declines in their vehicles sold. Yet Hyundai boasted only a 1.5 percent decrease in the same period. Why was that? Hyundai isn&#8217;t the most powerful or well-known car company.</p>
<p>The results were due primarily to an extreme risk reversal strategy aimed directly at consumers&#8217; fears in the shaky economy. Hyundai&#8217;s Web site explained that its &#8220;Hyundai Assurance&#8221; program covered anyone who needed to walk away from a car loan or lease due to a loss of income from involuntary unemployment, physical disability, medical impairments, or various other circumstances. Hyundai stated that it would make the owner&#8217;s car payments for three months, and if needed, let the owner return the car within a year with no further obligation, all while protecting up to $7,500 in negative equity.</p>
<p>How effective was this approach? The numbers above spoke for themselves. Chances are good that the revenue increases Hyundai saw from using this risk reversal technique far exceeded the expense of disbursing the warranty benefits. Following Hyundai&#8217;s lead, other carmakers soon began to offer similar &#8220;extraordinary guarantees.&#8221;</p>
<p>Not only do these extreme promises reverse the risk for customers, but they also provide powerful branding opportunities for organizations. Many businesses have staked their reputations on bold &#8212; or even outrageous &#8212; assurances that became their unique selling propositions. For example, FedEx&#8217;s business skyrocketed after it adopted the promise, &#8220;When it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-</p>
<p>Setting Boundaries on Extreme Risk Reversals</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-</p>
<p>It&#8217;s one thing to offer terrific promises, but it&#8217;s another to worry about the possibility that some consumers might attempt to improperly invoke your company&#8217;s warranty.</p>
<p>Therefore, consider the legitimate conditions that you can place around your promises to keep the risk reversals from becoming a free-for-all. Although incidences of customers &#8220;cheating&#8221; tend to be relatively few, using conditions can help discourage people from submitting unqualified claims.</p>
<p>Orkin, a well-known pest-control company, offers an excellent example of how to set effective and reasonable boundaries around extraordinary warranties. Quoted below is Orkin&#8217;s &#8220;Triple Guarantee,&#8221; which I&#8217;ve broken into its &#8220;promises&#8221; and &#8220;conditions.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<br />Promises:</p>
<p>When you see a pest . . . your request will receive a response within 24 hours. If during your regularly scheduled treatments you are not completely satisfied with the results, Orkin will re-treat to your satisfaction or refund your last monthly payment. If, after 60 days, you&#8217;re dissatisfied with Orkin service and decide to cancel, Orkin will pay the reasonable cost of an initial treatment by your choice of pest control operators. If your company is fined by a regulatory agency due solely to a pest infestation, Orkin will reimburse you for any fines paid, not to exceed $50,000*.</p>
<p>Conditions:</p>
<p>*Your account must be current, under contract for more than 60 days, and your business must be compliant with sanitation and structural requests as noted on Orkin service reports.<br />&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;</p>
<p>In conclusion, the success of bold guarantees and extreme risk reversal techniques might inspire you to develop stronger promises of your own. At the same time, if you&#8217;re worried about potential customer deception, think about how you can reasonably constrain your assurances while still providing generous &#8212; or even outrageous &#8212; consumer protection.</p>

* Start by giving a brochure to everyone you know.  Friends, family, neighbors all need to buy gifts for their loved ones so make it easy for them.  If you are worried about appearing pushy then say it in a really casual tone, “Here’s the latest brochure, if you want anything just give me a call” and leave it at that.</p>
<p>&#13;<br />
* Don’t forget about all of the guys that you know as well!  Men struggle to come up with great gift ideas for their significant others at this time of year so make it easy for them by offering suggestions, or even making up a gift basket for them.</p>
<p>&#13;<br />
* Make your customers feel special by giving them a free gift with their orders to say thank you for being a great customer.  It doesn’t have to be anything expensive, a hand cream or lip balm is perfect!</p>
<p>&#13;<br />
* Offer gift wrapping for free.  You can pick up some nice paper at dollar stores or use clear cellophane with a pretty bow.  Extra touches like these can increase customer orders and create loyalty.</p>
<p>&#13;<br />
* Tossing can be lucrative this time of year with everyone wanting gift ideas  Some people like to roll and toss (roll up the brochure and secure with a rubber band), however try using a cute Christmassy ribbon instead to grab attention.  Even better is to hang your brochure on the front door knob of your customer’s houses so they will see their ‘gift’ when they arrive home.</p>
<p>&#13;<br />
* Use lipstick samples as Christmas tree decorations!  Just add some sparkly string to tie to the tree, or put them in little clear bags and hang the bags.  These are also great to give out to potential customers, just make sure you include your business card as well!</p>

The following tips are to help you discern between farce and real leather, and to help you identify beautiful finishes, textures and colors so you can decide what’s best for you.</p>
<p><strong>Look and Feel.</strong> The first thing most people do when approached with a <a rel="nofollow" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/article_exit_link');" href="http://www.thelevelcollection.com">leather garment</a> is touch it to feel its softness and texture. Generally, the softer the material the more expensive it is. There are several factors that influence the appearance and quality of a leather garment. The first is the raw material, which is purely a product of genetics. Every hide and skin has sections that are inherently wrinkled, softer or thinner than other parts. Environmental conditions such as climate and food supply are also a factor. Nature’s creations are never uniform. There surface variations and imperfections give a unique beauty to genuine leather garments.</p>
<p><strong>Workmanship.</strong> The first tanner’s guilds can be traced back as far as twelfth century England, giving traditional leather making a 5,000 year date. First, a protective treatment termed curing is applied to the hide or pelt and it is shipped to a tannery. There the raw materials undergo a chemical process to render the <a rel="nofollow" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/article_exit_link');" href="http://www.thelevelcollection.com">leather</a> soft and pliable. Tanners can now adjust the thickness of the skin, change the color and apply a finish that alters or enhances leather&#8217;s appearance. Manufacturers receive the finished products and create the leather apparel that you enjoy today.</p>
<p><strong>Shopping Tips. </strong>Leather resists tears, punctures, heat and cold. Leather stretches and can mold to fit you, yet retains sufficient shape to provide support. Leather is also breathable and can actually wick away moisture. Garment leather is a by-product of farming and human food production. The skins in leather garments bought in the United States don’t come from animals killed just for their hides. No endangered species are ever used to create leather.<strong></strong></p>

<p>In today’s fast paced, high tech world, it’s easy to think that sales and marketing have changed from being people to becoming big faceless corporations. Well the simple fact is that people still buy from people.</p>

<p>Think about it. Have you ever walked out of a store because the sales staff was obviously more interested in chatting with their friends then seeing what they could do to help? Have you ever dealt with a rude customer service representative who told you that everything was your fault and they couldn’t do anything about it? Have you ever decided not to deal with a company because the people are not very nice? We all do it.</p>

<p>Companies have come up with all kinds of ways to get people to check out their product or service, but if the people you meet when you walk in are unfriendly or unhelpful the sale never gets made. The people who deal directly with customers need to be friendly, helpful, and take an interest in the real lives of every potential customer who comes in.</p>

<p>Work on making the interaction between sales people and new customers personal and friendly. More than anything else, people buy from people they like.</p>

<p>Never underestimate the power of a trusted brand. When all else fails we tend to go with the names we know and trust. If your company has a trusted image, then the products or services you offer inherit that same trust. Have you ever shied away from what looked like a good deal because it was coming from a company you’d never heard of? I know I have.</p>

<p>So how do you build a better company image? Well there’s a lot to it, but one of the basic elements is familiarity. Familiarity breeds trust. People are naturally wary of things they don’t recognize. So get your name out there, sponsor community events and keep doing it.</p>

<p>Building a strong company image takes time so don&#8217;t expect this to happen overnight, but there’s a reason big companies do it. Then next time you watch a commercial for a big company watch for the product promotion. Many times you won’t see it at all; all you’ll get is a feel good message about the company. There’s a good reason they do that.</p>

<p>3.	Better Products &amp; Services</p>

<p>Improving your product or service to help the people you are trying to help can increase your sales conversion dramatically. Most big companies spend about 10% of their revenue on introducing new and improved products.</p>

<p>In many of today’s fast paced markets constant improvement is a must. The secret is to pick a specific target market niche, and focus your improvements on that market. If you try to satisfy everyone with your next big improvement you will end up satisfying no one. </p>

<p>4.	Targeted Communication of the Value</p>

<p>The more focused a company is on its target customer the more likely they are to succeed. Instead of trying to satisfy everyone, choose a specific market and focus on it; even if your product or service is also a great fit for other markets.</p>

<p>In the early sixties Coca-Cola was outselling Pepsi-Cola by approximately 5 to 1. That was until Pepsi decided to stop trying to sell Pepsi to everyone and decided to focus all of its marketing efforts on the teenage market. They launched the choice of a new generation and hired teen icons like Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. The result was that in one generation Pepsi went from being outsold 5 to 1, to being only 10% behind Coca-Cola in sales.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>More companies have failed by trying to reach too broad of a market than have failed trying to reach too narrow a market. A good measure of whether your chosen niche is too large is to consider whether it is reasonable to expect that 80% of the people in your niche will have heard of you in the next 12 months. If that’s not achievable then you should consider narrowing your niche. Chose you niche and focus on it.</p>

When someone receives a handmade card, they experience a level of joy that cannot be achieved with a store bought card. Make sure your handmade cards deliver the emotional message you intend. Whether you are creating handmade cards for your personal use or selling them for profit, here are five helpful tips for creating attractive, remarkable handmade cards.</p>
<p>1. Layer Papers. Shop the scrapbook aisle of your favorite craft store for many different types of papers, card stock, thick and thin, foiled, embossed and printed pattern papers are just as few. Layer the papers by cutting out shapes and various sizes of papers and then gluing them together to create a very expensive look for your card. Don’t go overboard with too many layers, but at least one different layer can make all the difference.</p>
<p>2. Use the Right Tools. Invest in some paper crimpers, special edged scissors, various sized hole punches, a good glue gun and different types of adhesives. Using different edged scissors to cut your papers greatly adds to the impact and crimped papers and foils add even more interest. New hole punches are available in many sizes and shapes, these cut out shapes add style and definition to your papers. Use the right glues and adhesives for the materials you are working with. There is no point in adding embellishments if they fall off right away.  </p>
<p>3. Add Flat Interest. Depending on the theme or occasion for your card embellish it with some interesting items like ticket stubs, magazine cut outs, old photos, stickers, quotes cut from newspaper articles or cut outs from old calendars and postcards. Other interesting papers include old labels from wine bottles and gourmet foods, confetti and aluminum foil.</p>

<p>4. Add Texture. Here is where your creativity can flourish. An unforgettable card will contain great texture such as pressed flowers, leaves and other plant material, ribbon, yarn, lace, buttons and other sewing supplies. Try using beads, bottle caps, sea shells or colored rubber bands. If your card is to be mailed don’t use too much texture or it will be mangled during transit. </p>

<p>5. Create Your Own Envelope. Finish your handmade cards properly by creating a matching envelope. Use paper that is heavy enough to protect all your beautiful artwork, embellishments and textures. You should keep the theme going by using the same colored paper as the base of your card. Be sure to mark the envelope Non-Machinable as indicated by the U.S. Post Service guidelines.</p>
